Kansas City

Our first stop on vacation was Kansas City to celebrate the wedding of Ruth and Adam. Overall, it was a very fun trip. My folks flew out with me on Saturday which made that leg of plane travel so easy. Abigail was happy to sit with Nani, order Sprite, and decide when the window shade could be opened or closed. We were picked up in the 15-passenger white party van, complete with 'almost' just married stickers. We all stayed at Ruth's house (and she had graciously supplied the upstairs with plenty of kids toys and videos), enjoyed a water park on Fathers Day, lots of yummy KC BBQ, visited with family, an afternoon at the lake, and also melted in the humidity. Ruth treated me to a massage and pedicure (Abigail also came to the latter), we had a really fun bridal shower on Thursday night, a wonderful rehearsal dinner in downtown KC, and a beautiful wedding day. Well, Abigail did happen to have a complete meltdown during the pre-wedding photos and Olivia wouldn't take one without me so there are very few official documents of the occasion, but as soon as the babysitter took the girls after the ceremony Jeremy and I could relax and enjoy the evening. We even did a little dancing. Ruth was a beautiful bride and it was a great day. I don't have all that many photos of the day since I was busy being in it but maybe I can post more when Ruth gets her pictures back from the photographer.

Abigail dressed up Ruth as a bridesmaid. Olivia got some new pj's from Adam's folks.

Ice cream!
The water park, complete with country music blasting in the background.
Her 1st pedi. She picked pink with extra sparkles.
At the church after rehearsal.
Okay, so kind of a funny Adam face - think he was eating but it's the best I have right now.
Dancing...Gail caught the bouquet!
