Today we spent a wonderful January day, sunny and 60s, at the Oakland Zoo with some of our friends. This is Abigail being her cute little self. Maybe she is being a tiger? She had a great time with her buddies and only threw a minor fit when leaving. It has been fun to see her interact with her friends lately. For half of the time four of her friends and her walked around holding hands. We still often have days when I wonder what side of the bed she woke up on and feel as though we are back to square one, but that's the joy of parenting a three year old! As one of my friends was commenting today, I have to remember to bottle these good days and remember them on the rough ones.

Beer Can Chicken and A Day At The Zoo
This past weekend we made beer can chicken. My dad gave Jeremy a fancy 'Poultry Pal' and this weekend was the trial run. It worked really well and we highly recommend this method of chicken cooking on the grill. Oh, by the way, this fits right into my current meat eating frenzy that has included a steak and burgers. I think I had convinced myself this baby was a boy, but the cravings are still there even though we know it's a girl. Jeremy is very proud of me and it is fun to enjoy meals together. I have made no promises as to whether it will continue post-baby.

Lynn, you're eating meat?!? Does this include dairy? I am amazed...but I won't egg you on too much about it. :D
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you and the new baby! Great update. I enjoy keeping up with y'all on here.
WOW! A Steak?!?!?! Isn't it delicious!!! =)
ReplyDeleteI guarantee you that the steak cravings are coming straight from the Richard Smith gene pool.
ReplyDeleteEven though Mom is currently in chicken shock - she said that the Poultry Pal cooked chicken looked very delisious!
