Abigail's Birthday to mid-Dec

Birthday doughnuts - we get very excited about these!
A bigger bike - what fun! Abigail also got an electric pencil sharpener and she probably spent 1/2 hour that night sharpening all her pencils. We had to drag her away to get to bed.
Party at Round Table Pizza with lots of friends. Kids were highly entertained by that horse in the background that didn't require money to work.
Celebrity of the Week for the week after her birthday. She got to share a special 'skill' on Friday. Jeremy went with her and they demonstrated to the class how to make an octopus with your hands - complete with googly eyes!
 Found our winter hats!
Nice day at the park with the Wilsons.
Really liked the leaves at the park.

Jeremy and I got to go out one night - wonderful!
Annual gingerbread house. This time courtesy of Home Depot. Note the quantity of orange icing!

The Sidors graced us with a two week visit - what a treat. Cousin Marcelle and her special friend came by for a visit too. Great to see them all!

Girls had to be in one of the shots too.

These people like to decorate at Christmas!
And the inside too! And they have Santa! And a room full of semi-creepy angels. It's quite the experience!

Children's Nutcracker with the girls and the Sidors. A huge hit.

Sooo excited about the live nativity - a Smith tradition. Caraline was so excited to pet all of the animals - sheep, donkeys, and cows. Baby Jesus was even real!

Rest of October & November

Halloween at the zoo. Olivia's face is painted as a butterfly.
Since Halloween was on a Wednesday, we didn't have a Fall festival. Jeremy made one for the girls at home, complete with three games (basketball shoot, corn hole, and ping pong toss). They just happened to win the grand prize, two fish. They lasted maybe a month. Abigail's died first and then Olivia's a few days later.

They even got to do some trick or treating. Jeremy dressed up like different people and 'answered' Caraline's door. Needless to say, it was a huge hit with the girls. Jeremy called the event Smith - o - ween. He's a fantastic daddy!
Note to self...do not take photos of Caraline right after naptime.
Or at least until she has been placated with presents (courtesy of our neighbors).
I dressed up as a princess too for a free burrito at Chipotle. Quite an adventure. Our kids mainly stared open mouthed at all the different costumes, at one point loudly asking why the guy was naked who just walked in. I think he was supposed to be the warewolf guy from the Twilight movies. We also saw from friends from school and church - was a fun place to go.
Here's Olivia dressed for a soccer game with the Burtch boys in November - a bathing suit of course!

Pier 39 aquarium was a huge hit with the kids. Free passes from the library! Caraline and Olivia could have lived at the touch pools.

Turkey ice cream treats for Thanksgiving week courtesy of Aunt Diane!

Another rock climbing adventure with Jeremy's former co-worker. Love how Caraline is scaling the walls here. Abigail did really great and got to the top of most of the ones she tried. Olivia was more interested in doing tricks on the rings and Caraline ran around like a wacko (and at one point into the slackline).

Real climbers get a chalk bag.
